The Maharashtra government on Thursday kicked off a drive to fill up 75,000 government vacancies over the next one year. Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually attended the event where 2,000 candidates were given appointment letters.

PM Modi started a national mission to offer 10 lakh jobs during Diwali. The mission has been planned to mark the 75th year of independence. The PM said, “The prompt organisation by Maharashtra indicates that the government is committed to fulfil the promise of providing jobs. The drive will expand in the near future.”
