Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has expressed his deep condolences to the families of the deceased and those injured in the devastating incident that engulfed the residential building in Mumbai’s Goregaon. The fire left seven people dead and over 50 injured.

The fire, which broke out in the wee hours of the morning, quickly spread through the multi-story building, trapping residents within. Firefighters and emergency services responded swiftly to the scene, battling the inferno to rescue those trapped and extinguish the flames.
Speaking to the media, Chief Minister Shinde stated, "What happened is unfortunate, and my heart goes out to the families who have lost their loved ones. We are working closely with the Municipal Commissioner and the Police to investigate the incident thoroughly. Our top priority is to provide immediate relief to the affected families."

In a bid to alleviate the suffering of the victims' families, Chief Minister Shinde announced that the government would extend financial relief, ANI reported. "The government will provide monetary assistance of Rs 5 lakhs to the families of those who lost their lives in this tragic incident. We understand the pain and hardships they are going through and aim to support them during these trying times," he stated.

Moreover, Chief Minister Shinde reassured the injured survivors of the fire that they would receive the necessary medical treatment. "We are committed to ensuring that those injured in this fire receive the best possible medical care. The government will bear the expenses of their treatment, and we will ensure that they recover swiftly," he affirmed.
Meanwhile, Maharashtra Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha expressed his condolences and outlined the government's response to the tragedy.
Addressing the media, Minister Lodha called the incident "extremely unfortunate" and pledged the government's commitment to addressing the situation comprehensively. "A high-level inquiry committee will be formed, which will submit its report within 15 days. This committee will thoroughly investigate the circumstances surrounding the fire," he stated.

Furthermore, Minister Lodha announced that the Maharashtra government would bear all the medical expenses incurred by those injured in the fire. "The well-being of the injured is a top priority for us. The Maharashtra government will cover all the treatment expenses for those who have been injured in this tragic event," he assured.
Additionally, he assured that the injured survivors would receive the best possible medical care. "We are committed to providing the best medical facilities to those who have been injured. Their treatment and recovery are our foremost concerns," Minister Lodha affirmed.
