Senior Mumbai police officers attended the condolence meet of the murdered 19-year-old student, which was organised by her family and Bhamla Foundation at Khar Gymkhana, where hundreds of Khar and Bandra residents were also present on Friday. The police officers have assured the family of a fair probe and maximum punishment for the culprits.

The senior officers including Additional Commissioner (west region) Sandeep Karnik, DCP Abhishek Trimukhe, Zone 9 and ACP Dattatray Bhargude paid their respects to the girl, who was allegedly killed by her friends on New Year’s Eve. “We are with the family and we understand their pain. Once again we have assured them that we are doing our best to get justice for their daughter,” DCP Trimukhe told mid-day.
The locals from Khar and Bandra present at the condolence meet supported the family in their fight for justice. “All Khar and Bandra residents are scared after this incident and many of them have stopped sending their children to parties with friends. This case has had a huge impact on the minds of people,” said a Khar resident.
Bandra West BJP MLA Ashish Shelar and Congress Mumbai president Bhai Jagtap also attended the condolence meet. They spoke to the police senior officers and asked them to ensure that the family gets justice.
