India vs Sri Lanka T20 match: Mumbai Police issues parking, traffic restrictions near Wankhede Stadium

Ahead of the India vs Sri Lanka T20 match on Tuesday, the Mumbai Police on Monday issued a list of traffic restrictions near Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.


In a traffic notification, the Mumbai Traffic Police said, India vs Sri Lanka T20 cricket match is scheduled to be played at the Wankhede Stadium, Churchgate in Mumbai on January 3. A large number of spectators are expected to ply in vehicles to the stadium, this may lead to traffic congestion in the area.


The notification which was issued by Gaurav Singh, DCP (South), Traffic, Mumbai said, in order to prevent obstruction and inconvenience to the public, there shall some parking restrictions and route diversions.


Parking restrictionson the following roads would be in place on January 3, from 15:00 hrs to 23:45 hrs.

- D' road, C' road, F road and F' crossroad.

- E' road from its junction on D' road upto its junction on C' road.

- On N.S. road from Princess Street Flyover to Sunder Mahal Junction (for both southand north bound).

Changes in routine traffic pattern starting from 15:00 hrs.

- D' road shall be one way (from west to east).

- C' road shall be one way (from east to west)

- E' road shall be one way (south bound) for all types of vehicular traffic from its junction on D' road upto its junction on C' road.
