Gokhale bridge work: Some Western Railway trains to be affected this week

The WR said, in connection with the dismantling work of Gokhale road over bridge in Andheri, a major block of 04.30 hours will be undertaken on down slow lines from 00.15 hrs to 04.45 hrs in the intervening nights of January 19 and 20 and January 20 and 21, due to which few local train services will be affected

The Western Railway (WR) on Thursday said that due to the block for dismantling of Gokhale rail over bridge some western railway trains would be affected this week. 


In a press release, the WR said, in connection with the dismantling work of Gokhale road over bridge in Andheri, a major block of 04.30 hours will be undertaken on down slow lines from 00.15 hrs to 04.45 hrs in the intervening nights of January 19 and 20 and January 20 and 21, due to which few local train services will be affected. 



According to a press release issued by Sumit Thakur - CPRO of WR, the details of the local services affected due to this work are- 


The following local trains will be worked on down fast line between Santacruz, Goregaon and will avail double halt at Vile Parle. These will not halt at Ram Mandir station for want of platform- 

- BY91019 departing Churchgate at 23.27 Hrs 

- BY91023 departing Churchgate at 23.38 Hrs 

- NSP91027 departing Churchgate at 23.46 Hrs 

- BO91031 departing Churchgate at 23.52 Hrs 

- VR 91033 departing Churchgate at 23.58 Hrs 

- BY91037 departing Churchgate at 00.09 Hrs 

- BVI91041 departing Churchgate at 00.16 Hrs 

- VR91043 departing Churchgate at 00.20 Hrs 

- BY91045 departing Churchgate at 00.28 Hrs 

- BO91049 departing Churchgate at 00.38 Hrs 

- BY91051 departing Churchgate at 00.43 Hrs

- VR 91053 departing Churchgate at 00.50 Hrs

- BO91055 departing Churchgate at 01.00 Hrs 

- BO 90001 departing Bandra at 04.05 Hrs

The release said, VR91016 train departing from Virar at 23.40 Hrs and BY91035 departing from Andheri at 00.46 Hrs will be operated on fast line between Goregaon - Andheri in both directions and will not halt at Ram Mandir in up and down direction. 

It said, VR92005 departing Andheri at 04.40 Hrs will be operated on the fast line after removal of the block and skip all halts between Andheri and Borivali stations. 

It further said, the following trains will be operated on 5th line from Santacruz to Borivali and will be operated at platform No. 8 at Borivali station instead of Platform No. 6.

 - Train No. 22923 Bandra Terminus 

– Jamnagar Humsafar Express

- Train No. 22965 Bandra Terminus 

– Bhagat Ki Kothi Express - Train No. 19003 Bandra Terminus 

– Bhusaval Khandesh Express
