Western Railway manages to stay afloat with no delays or disruptions due to heavy and continuous rain, Konkan Railway train schedule affected owing to a landslide in Palghat division

Due to waterlogging on Friday at Kurla-Sion, the fast line between Matunga and Mulund on the main line was suspended from 10.30 am to 11.15 am. On the harbour line, there was major waterlogging at Chunabhatti and train services had to be suspended between Wadala Road and Mankhurd stations from 11.10 am to 12 pm.

Western Railway services managed to stay afloat and there were no delays or disruptions because of the rain.
Trains passing via Konkan Railway remained affected due to a landslide. Officials said soil came on tracks in the Padil and Kulasekhara section of Palghat division over Southern Railway. This led to regulation, short-termination and cancellation of services.
With the 01134 Mangaluru junction-Mumbai CSMT special train being partially cancelled between Mangaluru junction and Surathkal station and the train now leaving from Surathkal, passengers were being road bridged from Mangaluru to Surathkal to board the train.
On the road, a huge number of BEST buses remained diverted due to waterlogging — 61 buses reported breakdowns, of which 59 were rectified by the time of going to the press.
