The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) issued a statement on Friday regarding Indian nationals stranded in Russia after being enticed by high-income security helper positions, only to be transported to the Russia-Ukraine border to engage with the Ukrainian army. At least three individuals have been injured at the border, with one unreachable after sustaining a sniper shot. The MEA acknowledged, “We are aware that a few Indian nationals have enlisted for support roles with the Russian army.
