Deputy Municipal Commissioner Harshad Kale said, “We appeal to the people that just as we are ensuring Covid prevention in our daily lives, it is also necessary to strictly implement preventive measures during Ganeshotsav. Public Ganeshotsav mandals should also raise awareness about this at their level.”
During the meeting, various issues such as permissions for public Ganeshotsav mandals, erecting of mandaps, etc. were discussed in detail. The process of granting permissions to Ganesh mandals that were granted permission last year, has already started this year.
Also, the number and operation of artificial lakes for immersion of Ganesh idols and collection centres will be the same as last year. It was also informed during the meeting that the initial technical issues regarding online permissions have been resolved by the Information Technology Department of the municipal corporation.
