The Thane Police, on Saturday, informed that the 15-year-old rape survivor has been discharged from hospital.





The teenage girl was raped multiple times by more than 30 men over a period of eight months. According to the police, it started when her boyfriend raped her, filmed the act and started blackmailing her.

With the Special Investigation Team (SIT) of Thane police arresting two more persons from Navi Mumbai, the number of arrested accused in this case went up to 28. Earlier the police informed that the victim “knew almost all the perpetrators.”

Meanwhile, Thane Assistant Commissioner of Police, Sonali Dhole told the media on Friday that none of the accused persons have admitted having any political links.

The girl was allegedly gang-raped multiple times over a period of eight months in Thane district. The alleged incidents took place at different locations, including Dombivli, Badlapur, Murbad and Rabale, between January 29 and September 22 this year. The victim has named 33 accused, police have said.
