Defeating I-N-D-I-A alliance not only difficult but impossible: Sanjay Raut

Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut on Thursday expressed confidence that the opposition I-N-D-I-A bloc will win the next year's Lok Sabha elections, and asserted it is not only difficult, but impossible to defeat this alliance, reported the PTI.


Talking to reporters, Sanjay Raut said that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is an undisputed leader of the country.



"The country wants to work under the leadership of Gandhi," Sanjay Raut said, according to the PTI.


"There is a fear in the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The I-N-D-I-A alliance is going to win in 2024 (Lok Sabha polls). It is not only difficult, but it is impossible to defeat I-N-D-I-A (alliance)," Sanjay Raut said, as per the PTI.

The I-N-D-I-A alliance meeting of opposition parties will take place on Thursday evening and culminate on Friday.

"We will go with an action plan before the nation," the Shiv Sena (UBT) Rajya Sabha member said, the news agency reported on Thursday.

He said that everyone in the I-N-D-I-A alliance is bound by a relation to save the country, patriotism. No one can break it and there is no difference among the parties, he stressed.

The third meeting of the opposition bloc, National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (I-N-D-I-A) in Mumbai will discuss a strategy to take on the BJP in the Lok Sabha elections due next year and inclusion of new allies.

Along with talks on strategy and inclusion of new allies, unveiling of the I-N-D-I-A bloc logo and discussion on the common minimum programme (CMP) will be the highlight of the two-day deliberations. As many as 63 representatives from 28 political parties will attend the meeting to be held at Grand Hyatt Hotel in Mumbai.

Meanwhile, as many as 63 representatives from 28 political parties will attend the third meeting of I-N-D-I-A alliance meet on August 31 and September 1, NCP president Sharad Pawar said on Wednesday, the PTI reported.

Addressing a press conference in Mumbai, Sharad Pawar expressed confidence that the opposition alliance will provide a formidable alternative to bring about political change, according to the PTI.

Sharad Pawar said that there has been no discussion on seat sharing within I-N-D-I-A, as per the PTI.

Former chief minister and Shiv Sena (UBT) president Uddhav Thackeray said the alliance of opposition parties belonging to different ideologies has a common objective of protecting democracy.

On I-N-D-I-A alliance PM face, Uddhav Thackeray said, "We have many choices for PM candidates. But what choice does BJP have, except one."
