Multiple police stations across the city have queued up to claim the custody of Twinkle Arora, an IT professional allegedly involved in multiple cyber fraud cases in the city while residing in five-star hotels. Arora was arrested by the Bandra police for targeting youngsters at turf clubs while they left their belongings behind to play. During investigations, it was revealed that Arora has been involved in several cases. With the news of his arrest, police stations in the city have been claiming his custody to investigate similar cases registered against him.

Now, the Azad Maidan police took custody of Arora after a 28-year-old Vivek Dave approached them. According to the police, Dave was playing cricket at Oval Maidan and had kept his mobile phone in his bag. When he reached his residence, he was surprised to see that money had been debited from his bank account.

During the investigation, it was revealed that Arora was involved in this matter. “His modus operandi was to remove the SIM cards from the mobile phones of the victims, insert the SIM card in another phone, change the security pin of the victim's ATM cards, and then insert the SIM card back in the victim’s phone,” said a police officer stationed at Azad Maidan.

Dave was allegedly duped for Rs 6 lakh. “During the investigation, it was revealed that Arora had debited the money and then had purchased gold worth R5 lakh and had also withdrawn Rs 1 lakh from the victim's account,” said the police.

According to the police, multiple cases have been registered against Arora in Bandra, Andheri, Bhayandar, and Azad Maidan. "We suspect that more such FIRs would be registered against him across the city," said the police. Arora had been booked by the Azad Maidan police under Section 420 (cheating) of the Indian Penal Code and sections of the IT Act.
