Covid-19: Mumbai reports 20,971 cases, six deaths

For the second day in a row, Mumbai has logged more than 20,000 cases. On January 6, the city had witnessed 20,181 cases

Amid rising cases of coronavirus, Mumbai has reported 20,971 new cases along with six deaths and 8,490 recoveries. On January 6, Mumbai had registered 20,181 cases. With today's tally, there are 91,731 active Covid-19 cases in the city. 





84 per cent of total cases registered today are asymptomatic compared to 85 per cent on January 6. However, Mayor Kishori Pednekar and BMC chief Iqbal Singh Chahal have ruled out the possibility of lockdown at this stage. And a decision on it will be taken by Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray.
