In the Std XII results, the overall pass percentage stands at 87.98 per cent, while in Std X, it is 93.60 per cent. The CBSE board also decided to stop awarding first, second, and third divisions based on students' examination scores, CBSE officials said. Like previous years, the board has not announced a merit list.

"No merit list will be declared by the CBSE to avoid unhealthy competition among the students even this year. However, the board will issue merit certificates to 0.1 per cent of students who have scored the highest marks in various subjects," said Dr Sanyam Bharahwaj, controller of examinations (CBSE) Std XII overall and Pune.
