A two-year-old girl died after her mother allegedly poured kerosene and set herself and the child on fire early morning today following a quarrel with her husband.

Jyoti Korde, a 24-year-old resident of suburban Mulund, was angry after a quarrel with her husband over serving more food to him. She then went to the kitchen and poured kerosene on herself.
She then set herself on fire and when they attempted to put out the fire, her two daughters, son and husband also sustained burn injuries, police said. The family members were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Jyoti and her two-year-old daughter Siddhi sustained 100 per cent burns and were declared dead by the doctors at the Mulund General Hospital, police said.
Her husband, Dilip, five-year-old daughter Nisha and two-month-old son Survesh also sustained burn injuries and are undergoing treatment. Nisha had sustained 20 per cent burns on her body while Survesh had sustained 40 per cent burns, police added.
