Earlier this morning, those travelling from Badlapur to CST had a harrowing time as train services were stopped between Karjat and Kalyan.

This time not due to technical delays, but because of a protest staged by the public against frequent train delays.
According to protesting commuters, train delays are a daily occurrence, and the situation is only worsening by the day.

Hence, they decided to take matters into their own hands. What began as a minor protest, quickly grew into a full-blown agitation as the crowd grew. Commuters got down on tracks and stopped trains in both direction, raising slogans against the Central Railway (CR) administration over their inability to run trains on time.

As a result of the protest, services on both up and down line shut down between Karjat and Kalyan. CR confirmed the same.
