Aditi Bhosle, daughter of a police officer, was disturbed for some time because she could not attain admission in engineering course. She jumped from the ninth floor of her building in the wee hours of Friday, an official at Kasarwadawali police station said.

Her father got up at night and found that the girl was not in her bed. Later, he found her lying on a car in the housing complex, the officer said. He rushed her to a hospital where she was declared brought dead.

A suicide note was recovered from the deceased's bag, police said, adding that a case of accidental death has been registered and further investigation is on.
