TISS Gangrape: Soni gets gives anticipatory bail

An accused evading arrest in connection with the alleged gangrape of a 23-year-old US national on Monday moved a sessions court here seeking anticipatory bail.

The absconding accused, Vinamra Soni, who is allegedly involved in the gangrape of a 23-year-old US national was granted anticipatory bail at the sessions court on Monday.

The anticipatory bail petition of Soni came up before sessions judge KP Joshi.

Five other accused have been arrested, while Soni is not traceable and declared absconding.

On April 11, the 23-year-old US student was allegedly gangraped by six persons at a flat in Andheri.
