After a series of attack on the Jain community, the Shiv Sena on Thursday tried to pacify them and the task was put upon Sena scion and Yuva Sena president Aditya Thackeray.

Thackeray was the main guest at a function organised by Jain International Trade Organization (JITO), at NSCI Worli. There he said that Sena and Jain community share a strong relationship and at no cost anyone will be able to break it.

In September, the Shiv Sena had aggressively spoken against the Jains for demanding a meat ban during their festival Paryushan. Post that, there was a virtual war between Shiv Sainiks and the Jains. However, on Thursday, when the Jain body comprising of top Jain industrialists, builders and leaders, invited Thackeray, he readily accepted it.

At the event Thackeray said, "Jains and we (Shiv Sena) share an unbreakable relationship and we it will never break even if anyone tries to break it, it shall always remain intact."

With Kalyan Dombivali elections hardly 22 days from now, the Sena, doesn't want to be in bad books of the community, which has a large presence in Dombivali.

He even took a dig at the Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis for giving security to Ghulam Ali. Ali was to perform in Mumbai and Pune, but after Sena's protests and threats, the shows were called off. Fadnavis had said that, the show should go on and even assured security.

To this Thackeray said, "While firing is on at the border, allowing Pakistani artists perform in Mumbai is wrong. When there's tension at the border, such entertainment programs shouldn't happen."
