Mumbai: Followers of Sunni Muslim Wadala Kabristan Trust here today took out a peaceful protest march against the officials of the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai for denying them additional land for the graveyard.

Ishtiaq Sheikh, secretary of the Trust, said, "Our graveyard is 100 years old and now falling short of land. We have been asking the MCGM to hand over the adjacent piece of land for a long time."

He alleged that MCGM did not entertain the Trust's request at the behest of a local Shiv Sena coprorator.

Sohail Khandwani, trustee of Haji Ali Dargah trust, also attended the march.
