Pakistan has registered a case against Mohammed Ajmal Amir alias Qasab, the lone terrorist captured alive during the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks that left over 181 people dead.

Pakistan has registered a case against Mohammed Ajmal Amir alias Qasab, the lone terrorist captured alive during the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks that left over 181 people dead.

Pakistani media said charges have been filed against Qasab and 12 other people after the country's Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) conducted a probe into the Mumbai attacks. The case has been registered at the Dockyard Police station in Karachi after the Cabinet Defense Committee, which has been holding long meetings over, the last two days, issued directions.

The case has been registered at Karachi since the Indian dossier had said that the terrorists had set sail from the Pakistani port city.

Reacting to the news External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee said that the report from Pakistan was still being awaited. "How can I respond till Pakistan officially informs us," he asked.u00a0 Islamabad had ordered the FIA probe after India alleged that the Mumbai attacks were plotted in Pakistan.
