Over 20 kids hurt as school bus rams into NMMT bus

A school bus yesterday rammed into a Navi Mumbai Municipal Transport (NMMT) bus in Airoli, hurting over 20 students, who suffered minor injuries

A school bus yesterday rammed into a Navi Mumbai Municipal Transport (NMMT) bus in Airoli, hurting over 20 students, who suffered minor injuries.

The incident took place at around 11 am in Sector-3 near Airoli Railway Station, where the driver, who was driving a
St Xavier’s High School bus, lost control of the vehicle due to brake failure.

Due to the impact, the NMMT bus rammed into a parked auto rickshaw but no casualties were reported.

"All the children inside the bus are safe though a few received minor bruises due to the impact. The driver rammed into the NMMT bus while taking a turn. There were very few passengers inside the Navi Mumbai bus and no one was hurt," a traffic official said.
