In order to provide aid to the 2,26,000 people rescued from the flood that hit the state two weeks ago, many families in Mumbai have collected and donated supplies like medicines, clothes, sanitary napkins, blankets and pillows, raincoats, phenyl, foodgrain and even chocolates.

As roads to the state have opened, we have sent one truck to Jammu via Delhi, and are hoping to send another truck to Srinagar soon,” informed Meenakshi Gupta, founder member of Goonj.
