30 infrastructure companies have shown an interest in designing and constructing an elevated viaduct and 16 stations on the Andheri (East) to Dahisar (East) Metro-7 corridor
Thursday saw thirty infrastructure companies gathered to attend the pre-bid meeting to the tenders invited by the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) for designing and constructing an elevated viaduct and 16 stations on the Andheri (East) to Dahisar (East) Metro-7 corridor in three separate packages. The three winning bidders will design and construct the entire corridor and 16 stations in 30 months.

The pre-bid meeting schedule on Thursday was attended by the representatives of many reputed infra company such as M/s.HCC Ltd., M/s.Reliance Infra Ltd., M/s.Pratibha Industries Ltd., M/s.AFCONS Ltd., M/s.L&T, M/s.Dextra India Pvt. Ltd., M/s.Tata, M/s.Relcon Infra Projects Ltd., M/s.Simplex Infra Ltd., M/s.J.Kumar Infra Projects, M/s.Unity InfraProjects Ltd. M/s.SEW, Hyderabad; M/s.KMC Constructions Ltd., Hyderabad; M/s.IL&FS, Hyderabad; M/s.SOMA, Bengaluru; M/s.AL FARA’ A Infra Projects, UAE.
“The prospective bidders have shown a very keen interest," said Sanjay Sethi, Additional Metropolitan Commissioner, MMRDA. “The response also indicates the level of confidence the bidders have in the government and its agency. The Metro-7 corridor will bring down the congestion on the suburban rails and provide Mumbaikars a safe and comfortable travel everyday”, said Sethi further.
The first package consists of designing and constructing of an elevated viaduct and five elevated stations – namely – Andheri (E), Shankarwadi, JVLR Junction, Mahanand and new Ashok Nagar.
The second package consists of designing and constructing of an elevated viaduct and six elevated stations – namely – Aarey, Dindoshi, Pathan Wadi, Pushpa Park, Bandongri and Mahindra and Mahindra.
And the third package consists of designing and constructing of an elevated viaduct and five elevated stations – namely – Magathane, Devipada, National Park, Ovaripada and Dahisar (E).
The Authority will clarify the queries raised by prospective bidders by January 15, 2016.
The last date for submission of tender documents is February 1, 2016 up to 6 pm.
