Two people have died in a fire that broke out at Maker Tower in Cuffe Parade earlier today. Eight fire tenders were rushed to the spot to fight the blaze.
"The fire broke out at the 20th floor of residential Maker Chamber following which 10 fire tenders rushed to the spot," a senior official from the fire brigade said.

The incident took place in 'A' Wing of Maker Chamber at Cuff Parade at 6.37 am and, therefore, there were people sleeping in the tower at the time of incident, an official from fire brigade control room said.
According to ANI, The flat that was gutted belonged to Shekhar Bajaj, MD of Bajaj Electricals.
While two were killed, 11 others were rescued, according to police and firefighters. The blaze was said to be in control, the senior official from the fire brigade said
