In yet another instance of crime against minors in Mumbai, a 26-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly sexually assaulting his 4-year-old neighbour in Shivaji Nagar area.
A report in the timesofindia stated that the girl was playing outside her house when accused approached him. A police source informed the paper that the accused lured the girl by promising her sweets, and then took her to his house.

The police source further told timesofindia that the 4-year-old later informed her mother about the shocking incident. The child’s mother approached the Shivaji Nagar cops to file a complaint.
"We have arrested the accused. He was produced in a court which has remanded him in police custody till November 7," the source told the paper. The child has been sent for medical test to confirm the sexual assault allegations. The accused has been booked for molestation and under sections of the Protection Of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSOA), timesofindia reported.

Refusing to divulge too many details, a police officer explained to the paper, "It is a sensitive case and we have invoked sections of POCSOA. So we cannot disclose much information about it.”
