Mumbai crime: Teenager molested while undergoing X-ray exam

The police have arrested an X-ray technician for allegedly molesting a girl who was undergoing an X-ray examination at the civic-run Nair Hospital in Mumbai Central. According to police officials, the incident took place on Wednesday, around 1 pm, when the 17-year old went to the outpatient department of the hospital. She was asked to undergo an X-ray of her chest, as she was suffering from severe cough and cold.

The victim alleged that the 30-year-old technician, Vijay Kurade, who was alone with her at the time of the incident, deliberately touched her chest at the pretext of conducting the X-ray. The minor immediately informed her family members who had accompanied her to the hospital.
