The case dates back to October 25, 2014, when Khan was passing by the woman’s house around 11 pm. Noticing that the door was ajar and nobody was home, Khan let himself in.

According to an officer attached with Tilak Nagar police station, “Khan saw that she was alone at home. He sneaked in and started undressing the woman.”

Khan is a married man and stays in the same neighbourhood. Ten minutes later, the parents of the woman returned home from a function they had gone to attend.

The parents, along with the woman, who is unmarried, reported the matter to the Tilak Nagar police station. A team was formed soon, which dispatched and they managed to nab Khan from Chembur.
