A seven-month-old girl survived with minor injuries in an accident that injured three others, when a tempo heading towards Dadar, rammed into a taxi on Parel TT bridge on Sunday morning.

Nazia Sultana (32), who was traveling in the taxi along with her 7-month-old daughter, Safa Irfan Esab, and grandfather Sherdil Maldar (70), was going to Nagpada to meet her relatives. "We are thankful to god that they all are safe," said Halima, Nazia's mother.

The injured were rushed to KEM Hospital where Safa, who sustained minor injuries, was discharged. However, though Nazia and Sherdil are out of danger, they have sustained serious injuries.

The taxi driver, Iqbal Ansari (59) sustained the most serious injuries. Ansari is the sole earner of his family. "The responsibility of the family lies on him. I don't know how we will survive now. I hope that he gets well soon," said his wife, Vahida Iqbal.
