A Jammu resident was detained at the Mumbai airport on January 14 for possession of 10 live rounds. During the handbag security check, her bag showed suspicious articles, and upon checking it CISF personnel recovered live rounds. She was asked for valid documents to carry the same, but failed to provide them. She was then taken to the airport police station. She was let off after her husband provided online, his licence for keeping arms.
In her statement to police, Anshu Sharma said she had taken her husband’s laptop bag containing the live rounds, by mistake. Police sources said, "Since her kids are fond of playing video games on the laptop, she had carried it. To keep it safe, she had taken her husband’s laptop bag, without checking it".
