An elderly man was killed after getting knocked down by a speeding bike on Saturday afternoon. The incident occurred at Charni Road. According to a report by Hindustan Times, the case is currently being investigated by the VP Road police, who plan to study footage from the newly installed CCTV camers in the area.


An FIR has been registered by the unknown biker. According to police sources, the deceased, Dinanath Narayan Dhote, a resident of Fanaswadi in Girgaon, was not staying with his family during the time of his death. He was actually living on the streets. Dhote, who was admitted to GT Hospital after the mishap succumbed to head injuries. The police were actually informed about the accident by hospital authorities.


Cops found a piece of paper in his pocket on which a mobile number was writter, that turned out be a relative's.
