The IPL is scheduled to begin in April and go on till May. The Mumbai Indians have seven matches and they had two options, the DY Patil and Brabourne stadiums open to them. They have made an offer to the south Mumbai club, as they are keen to play at Brabourne. Members will also not be denied use of the clubhouse during the matches.
The CCI has been embroiled in a huge controversy as its members had refused the earlier terms, which spelt that they could not use the clubhouse during the match days. With fresh terms and this 'final offer' by Reliance, the club has called for an Open House meet for members on March 18 at 6 pm at the club's All Rounder restaurant, where the members will have to vote whether they are agreeable to these terms.
During the previous Open House, several speakers from the club management were booed off the stage and others were accused of having sold the club to Reliance. These are fresh terms and with everybody, the Mumbai Indians, the CCI management and the members, claiming that they would love to see cricket in South Mumbai, the All Rounder might be the place where this crisis, boiling over since two months, sees a conclusion.
Meanwhile, some members have grumbled that the cash-rich club should have asked for Rs 50 lakh per match.
But Mumbai Indians have said this is the final offer.
