Either settle down at the 34-feet long bar that serves concoctions like Zoo-Sized Iced Tea and Dancing Jar or opt for the industrial chic seating area and gorge into Turkish and Pan Asian fare.

All this while, you can check out animal sculptures and art works created by students of Mod’Art. Those with pets also have a reason to cheer. Treat them to special pet-friendly menu between 2 pm to 7 pm and post that, keep them in the kennels provided, while you enjoy a late night out. The all-day operations will begin from December 1.

Alessandro Michele wows them all!
Gucci’s Creative Director, Alessandro Michele was awarded International Designer of the Year at the British Fashion Awards 2015 held in London.

Of the notable attendees, Georgia May Jagger (left) sported a Gucci Spring Summer 2016 Look 64, black flocked polka-dot dress with lace detail and a red, black and white bead embroidered snake on the back of the dress. The N trinity
They’re young, talented and definitely eager to spread their wings. So, this bit of news didn’t come as a surprise. GenNext designers, Nishka Lulla, Nikhil Thampi and Nachiket Barve have collaborated with Jet Gems for its latest sub-brand, Canvas, to launch jewellery collections.

From Lulla, you can expect colourful, fairytale-inspired pieces with an edgy twist while Barve’s line features hand sculpted gold in motifs of lotus and water lily leaves.

Thampi’s signature style makes it to geometric rings and long earrings. Wearable and affordable (starting from Rs 5,000), you can check these out at the brand’s Bandra store, December 3 onwards.

Surprise! Upma for free
Matunga’s popular Udipi hangout, Cafe Madras, surprised their patrons yesterday, as part of their 75th anniversary celebrations. When unsuspecting foodies stepped in between 7 am to 12.30 pm and 4 pm to 8.30 pm (their timings in the 1940s) they had no idea what was in store.

Items like Upma, Idli and their bestseller, filter coffee that were the first few mentions on the menu when the restaurant opened 75 years ago, were priced according to their rates in the 1940s. Idli (20 paise), Upma (20 paise) and Coffee (15 paise).

For many, like this diarist, who had a 20 paise bill, the owners waved off the amount with a smile. The receipt that was issued read: ‘This day in 1940. Thank you all! Happy 75th.’ That’s why they were known as the good ole days, no?
