Mohsin Kadiwal, a quick-thinking school bus driver, helped save two children from being kidnapped on Thursday night at Mira Road by running behind the abductors. The kidnappers, who remain unidentified, first observed Zishan Badra, 6, and Ayesha Charoliya, 7, playing with the other children before kidnapping them. Once they were done, one of them, who is aged between 25 and 26 years, kidnapped Zishan while the second one, a minor, kidnapped Ayesha.
'Stay quiet, or else...'
"The kidnapper covered my mouth and pressed my stomach; it pained a lot. I saw that the other one had kidnapped Zishan. When my friend asked where they were taking me, he asked them to stay silent else he would kidnap them too. When they started screaming, Mohsin uncle came and saved both of us," said Ayesha.

Speaking to mid-day, Mohsin said, "I had just entered the society premises and was parking the bike, when I heard children screaming. I saw two people holding children and tying to flee. I ran behind the nearest kidnapper, who was holding Ayesha, caught him and then ran behind the other one who had Zishan. When he saw me behind him, he dropped Zishan and jumped the boundary wall. Later, people called the police and handed over the [minor] accused to them."
Bhabhi's assignment
Sources said the arrested kidnapper revealed during interrogation that he and the other accused had been put on the task by a woman identified only as 'Bhabhi,' who'd instructed them to get two children for her anyhow. He said she was the leader of a gang of 10, who live below an overbridge, said a police official. Cops took the minor to the location he had described, that spanned between Mira Road to Nalasopara, but the kidnapper was not able to identify the location.
"The minor accused did not reveal anything about the absconding accused. It seemed like he was mentally unwell. He was sent to a correction home in Bhivandi. We have registered a case under sections 363 (kidnapping), 34 (common intention), 511 (attempting to commit offences punishable with imprisonment for life or other imprisonment) of the Indian Penal Code," said investigation officer S Nagre from Kashimira police station. Meanwhile, Ayesha's father Kaish said, "I am still in shock. Taking lessons from this incident, security arrangements should be made in the society."
