Mumbai: Two teachers allegedly molest girl students in Vakola civic school

Two male-teachers from a Vakola civic school were allegedly molesting girl-students from the school for some time. A complaint is submitted to Vakola police Station as well as well BMC's education department by local corporator. Angry mob attacked the two school staffers on Friday morning where ink was put on their faces.

The incident came into light after Ritu Tawde, member of the BMC education committee submitted a complaint letter to Vakola police station as well as to BMC's education department regarding the incidents. The letter states, 'after the initial inquiry that was conducted at the school level in the presence of principal of the school; this complaint is being forwarded to you for detailed inquiry and strict action against teachers.' Tawde said, "We spoke to children at school where we got to know that these teachers were touching them inappropriately. After knowing details we have forwarded the complaint to concerned authorities."


There is no FIR filed yet with police. When contacted Senior Police Inspector form the Vakola Police Station, Mahadeo Waval, he said, "Parents of victims not come forward to complain and without that FIR can't be filed. However, we have received the complaint letter and we will continue investigation at our end to get clarity in the matter."

BMC Education Officer, Mahesh Palkar, also said, "We have received the complaint. An internal inquiry will be conducted."
