Mumbai: Ongoing strike saves jewellery workshops from being looted

The ongoing strike by jewellers against excise duty saved four jewellery workshops from being robbed at Kandivli West. Due to the strike, the owners had moved the valuables elsewhere. But one workshop was robbed of five kg silver. The robbers also tried to break into two houses, but could not.
