Mumbai: Boy dies after falling into water tank in Chembur

A 14-year-old boy died after falling into a water tank at a construction site in Chembur, police said here yesterday.

Sarmesh Pawar, the victim, was playing near a construction site on Anandnagar-Sion Trombay road in Chembur on Thursday when he accidentally fell in to the water tank, police said.

Locals alleged the incident took place due to the negligence of the constructor as there was no security guard and no lights.

Police have currently lodged an accidental death report and further probe is on.
