Mumbai: Bids invited for MMRDA for IFSC receives lukewarm response

While the state government has been talking a lot about its big ticket project of International Financial Services Center(IFSC) that is going to come up in the central business district of Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), the bids invited by MMRDA for the preparation of its master plan has received a lukewarm response.

This is despite the fact that the deadline for the submissions of the bids have been extended four times. Sources from MMRDA said that only three companies have submitted the bids for the preparation of the Master Plan.

Sources told this newspaper that the name of the three companies that have come forward include INI Design Studio (Ahmedabad) , Tata Consulting Engineers Limited with Townland Consultants (Hongkong) and Ramboll(Denmark) with Henning Larsen Architechts(Denmark). “The bids are expected to be awarded in next three-four weeks and one of the company from the three bids will be preparing the master plan for IFSC” Said an official who did not wished to be named.
