A day after the video of a 20 year old Nandini Goswami being assaulted by the lady cops went viral, the higher level officials in the police departments has carried a order suspending the two lady constables, holding them responsible for the whole havoc. Few lady constables assaulted Goswami as she had tried to get inside the Lalbaug vicinity for darshan from the VIP gate.

However the decision was made even before the report could be submitted. The investigations were led by an Assistant Police Commissioner Vijay Bagve (Matunga div) who was ordered to conduct an inquiry and submit a detailed report to the Deputy Commisioner of Police Ashok Dhude (zone 4) and shall be submitted by today 8pm.
Refusing to comment on the issue the Joint commissioner of police Deven Bharti (law and order) just confirmed the report of the two lady constable being suspended.
Nandini Deepak Goswami who is a Mira Road resident, had come for the darshan of 'Lalbaugcha Raja' and was trying to gate crash from the VIP entry, when she was caught and assaulted. (Read Nandini's story here)
The cops, on the contrary claim that the footages which have gone viral show only one side of the story – what happened inside the gate. According to them, in her attempt to get inside, Goswami misbehaved with those cops and that she had been threatening them that she is a black belt in karate with abusing the three women constables constantly. So, the three women cops got angry and took her to the police station.
