The CCTV footage shows the salon being pelted
According to sources, the incident took place on Sunday night at Behind The Scenes salon in Kaul’s Heritage City under the jurisdiction of the Manikpur police. The captured footage clearly shows the three accused — Zoheb Chaudhary, Wasim Shaikh and Kalpesh — coming up to the building premises at around 1.30 am and pelting stones at the salon, owned by Shyam Nair. Zoheb was infatuated with Nair’s fiancée, who lives in the same Papdipada, Vasai locality as him.

Zoheb, who has a criminal record, was not aware of the engagement and when he found out, decided to create fear in her with the aid of his accomplices.

“When a client and friend staying on the first floor of the building heard the noise, she came out to see what the noise was about. These people threatened her and told her to go inside and also threw stones at her. My friend immediately called me and when I checked the CCTV footage, I found them wreaking havoc at the store,” said Nair. He claims that they later returned and broke the CCTV camera and an air conditioner unit. So he went to the police station and registered the complaint, he added.
