With authorities at educational institutes saying that the nationwide agitation started by the 74-year-old Gandhian could be part of question papers and classroom, undergraduate and school students in the city had better brush up on the Anna Hazare-led movement.
The agitation could be part of the syllabus for Std IX and X in their 'Personality Development' subject, said a school principal. And mass media colleges have instructed their students to keep a track on the movement, so if question on Anna appear in exams, they are prepared to answer, said a professor.
Najma Kazi, principal of Anjuman-I-Islam's Saif Tyabji Girls' High School and Junior College, Mumbai Central, said, "Not Anna Hazare per se, but his movement can be a part of the topic 'Corruption' in the graded subject of Personality Development for the students of class IX and X.
Teachers should discuss this movement with the students; they should be aware of this important movement."u00a0 Baptist Pinto, principal of St Mary's High School, Byculla, said, "The teachers can give projects on Anna's movement or the Lokpal Bill to students, as it is a current issue.

This will help the students gain knowledge about it." Pravesh Mishra, BMM coordinator, Khalsa College, Matunga, said, "I made my journalism students keep a track on this movement.
Contemporary Issues is a subject for students of journalism, and there are chances that the University might ask questions on this movement in that subject. Later, the government can consider including this movement in the curriculum of students in the future."
Vinay Pandit, visiting faculty in BMS, Lala Lajpatrai College, Mahalaxmi, said, "Our students were told to keep a track on the Hazare-led movement because there is a subject called Business Ethics in which third-year students can get questions on this movement."
