Psychiatrist Dr Yusuf Abdulla Matcheswala said Indrani Mukerjea got a prescription of the anti-psychotic medicine for her son Mikhail in the first week of April 2012
In his statement to CBI, Matcheswala stated that in the first week of April 2012, Indrani Mukerjea (left) had got a prescription from him for an anti-psychotic medicine for her son Mikhail Bora (right).
In a major piece of evidence against Indrani Mukerjea in the Sheena Bora murder case, renowned psychiatrist, Dr Yusuf Abdulla Matcheswala, who has been treating Sheena’s brother, Mikhail Bora, has told the CBI that the day Sheena was killed, her mother Indrani had asked him what dosage of a certain anti-psychotic medicine would be fatal.

In his statement to CBI, Matcheswala stated that in the first week of April 2012, Indrani Mukerjea (left) had got a prescription from him for an anti-psychotic medicine for her son Mikhail Bora (right).
This could be major evidence for the CBI since there has been no concrete lead on which poisonous drug was offered to Sheena before she was allegedly strangulated inside the car near National College in Bandra.
In his statement to CBI on October 7, 2015, Matcheswala stated that it was in the first week of April 2012 that Indrani had got a prescription from him for an anti psychotic medicine for her son Mikhail, who had become aggressive once again after his treatment in 2006.

Indrani contacted Matcheswala several times in the same month when Sheena was murdered, regarding the same medicines.
Matcheswala said Indrani called him around 1 am in the intervening night of April 24 and 25, 2012, when Sheena Bora was murdered. During the conversation, she asked him about the medicine r******. The medicine provided by Matcheswala is a colourless, odourless, tasteless liquid, which could easily dissolve in the water.
Same meds for Sheena
During the same period Indrani told Matcheswala that Sheena had become a drug addict and also required treatment. Matcheswala further said that he heard the news of Sheena being murdered by Indrani in 2015 after being administered intoxicating medicine and thereafter by strangulating.
“I immediately recollected the entire sequence of my meeting/contact with Indrani regarding the prescription of medicine and also recollected the call made by her in the middle of the night on April 24, 2012. I am to state that Indrani must have administered the same medicine to Sheena for making her unconscious, as once she asked me as to how much dose could be fatal for a person’s life,” said Matcheswala in his statement, included in the supplementary chargesheet.
The chargesheet will be scrutinised by the defence before it decides to apply for bail, said Kushal Mor, Peter Mukerjea’s advocate.
