Only Tardeo police turned up, but they no longer have jurisdiction over the case; DCP of zone 9 Satyanarayan Choudhary told to appear before the state commission at the next hearing
The call to appear before the Maharashtra State Commission for Protection of Child Rights in connection with the food poisoning case at the Indian International Model United Nations (IIMUN) conference was ignored by all investigators of the case, except the Tardeo police. Incidentally, they are not even attached with the investigation anymore since the case was transferred to the Khar police station.

The commission had asked all investigators involved in this case to appear before them yesterday. Since the directive was ignored, the commission has now told Deputy Commissioner of Police (zone 9) Satyanarayan Choudhary to appear before the forum in person.

Choudhary, under whom the Khar police station comes, however, said he was unaware of the whole fiasco. “I will check the matter,” is all what he could offer.
After hearing what the Tardeo policemen had to say, secretary of the commission AN Tripathi said, “While primary information [on the case] was provided by them, the investigation is now with the Khar police station.
Hence, the DCP of zone 9 should present himself before the forum in person with the updated report on the investigation. The organisers of the event where the unfortunate incident took place and the food service provider (Box8) shall also be present with their statements.”
