Spokesperson denies all stories, but says Freida would consider the offer if it came
Amid stories of a broken engagement and whispers of an alleged romance with her younger co-star, Freida Pinto finds herself at the centre of another rumour, this one a little more pleasant in nature.
UK's The Sun newspaper recently reported that the 24-year-old actress was in talks with makers of the Bond film series to play the much-coveted role of Bond Girl, a role that along with Woody Allen's film would seal the deal for Freida. A source quoted in The Sun, said that Bond producer, Barbara Broccoli was keen to have Freida on board. This, despite the fact that she was considered too young to play a Bond Girl for the pervious film Quantum of Solace.
Freida's camp of course denies this and has brushed it aside as just another rumour. Her spokesperson says, "These are rumours. She has not been offered the role. She thinks that it is very flattering for any actress to be offered the role of a Bond Girl."
Considering the film Slumdog Millionaire propelled theu00a0 little known Freida to A-list stardom, the possibility of her being offered a part in the next Bond film does not seem impossible. "If an offer comes, she will consider it," adds her spokesperson.
