Flipkart dealer held with fake products

MIDC police along with Enforcers of Intellectual Property Right (EIPR) raided an authorised dealer of Flipkart and Snapdeal and recovered a wide arrey of counterfeit products in his godown

MIDC police along with Enforcers of Intellectual Property Right (EIPR) raided an authorised dealer of Flipkart and Snapdeal and recovered a wide arrey of counterfeit products in his godown.


Bombarded with complaints of fake HP products being sold through Flipkart, the company sought help of EIPR (Enforcers of Intellectual Property Rights), who bought products from Flip-kart and found that 95 per cent of the HP products were fakes.


Probe led them to three authorised dealers Sangat sales, Mahakali stationery, Mahakali Xerox and Dubaria all belonging Prabhu Kanji Dubaria. EIPR approached the MIDC police on Saturday and a raid was conducted at Dugaria’s godown.


Assistant police inspector of MIDC police station, Gangadhar Muddiraj elaborated, “Along with HP products, we also found various other kinds of fake items including perfumes, cosmetics etc.” Dubaria will be produced in court tomorrow.
