Ramesh alights from the train at Kurla station and starts to walk fast. Geetanjali gets down there as well and follows him, even as Ramesh quickens his pace to go to the crowded platform number 1. Ramesh thinks he can escape in the crowds, but Geetanjali keeps a watch on him and sees him robbing a commuter’s mobile phone

Ramesh is taken to the Kurla RPF station, where two cell phones are recovered from him. One sharp blade is recovered from his hand and another from his mouth

Ramesh is handed over to the Kurla GRP, who arrest him. Ramesh, a resident of Jari Mari, would keep blades in his mouth and use them to threaten people when caught stealing cell phones. “Ramesh has been booked under Section 379 (theft) and is in police custody,” said Inspector Santosh Dhanawate of the Kurla GRP.
