Ex 'Bigg Boss' contestant accuses Gurudwara organisers of molestation

A popular reality show star and ex 'Bigg Boss' contestant has registered a molestation complaint against one of the organisers of Gurudwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha located at Four Bungalows on November 25.

As per the First Information Report, the 42 year old actress had gone to the Gurudwara on the occasion of Gurpurab. Post that, she went to guru langar where sevaks (disciples) were preparing food. The complainant was asked to leave the kitchen as she had worn socks.

According to the complainant, she had agreed to remove the socks but even after that the organisers started to abuse her. She named two sevaks - Bobby Suri and Jaspal Singh Suri along with their accomplices for manhanding her physically prompting her to register a case at the DN Nagar Police station. "They abused and manhandled me. How can they behave in such a manner with a woman," she fumed.

The organisers, however, have a different tale to tell. As per them, the cooks prepare food for around 25,000 devotees and the complainant entered into the hall where approximately 70 women were making rotis. The complainant walked into the kitchen area wearing her shoes and stepped over the wet wheat flour meant for preparing rotis.

"One of the lady sevak requested her to remove her shoes and walk in with naked feet since they found her repeatedly stamping which was unhygienic," said Jaspal Singh Suri one of the organisers.

He added, "She further started arguing with the sevaks. When the situation went out of control, one of sevaks informed me about the incident and hence I intervened. However, the complainant's friend started throwing her weight about being a celebrity and that she can be exempted for what she was doing."

Suri elaborated, "Since it was big day for all sevaks, I politely apologised on behalf of them and requested her to remove the shoes they seemed in no mood to resolve the matter and turned abusive. With folded hands, I asked them to leave the Gurudwara premises. After a while I was aghast to receive a call from the local police station".

The complainant refuted the claims saying that the organisers were rude and had turned physical, "I was wearing socks and had already removed the shoes in the rack. The matter could have been sorted out amicably but they chose to be abusive and insensitive towards me."

Confirming the incident, senior Police Inspector Dhanaji Nalawade of D .N Nagar police station said, "We have taken the complaint and the investigations are on. We are also verifying the CCTV footages acquired from the alleged crime scene".
