A day after the first fatal accident on the Eastern Freeway, another car jumped the divider and landed on the other side last night.

Around 8.45 pm yesterday, a car going towards south Mumbai on the freeway met with an accident when the driver lost control over the vehicle and rammed it into the divider between Wadala and Orange Gate.
According to senior police inspector Traffic (Pydhonie) G B Rekulwar, “The incident took place around 8.45 pm. The driver of a south-bound car on the Eastern Freeway lost control and rammed the vehicle into the divider and flower pots and crossed over to the north-bound stretch.
No one was injured in the accident, which took place between Wadala and Reay Road. Several other accidents have taken place at the same spot.”
On Monday morning a motorist had died and another person sitting in the car with him was injured after the driver lost control and rammed into the divider and hit another car travelling in the opposite direction on the Freeway.
