A firing incident took place in Girgaon in which two rounds of bullets were fired which left a person, employed with a courier company injured

Mumbai: A firing incident took place in the Gulal Wadi area of V P road in Girgaon, in which two rounds of bullets were fired which left a person, employed with a courier company injured.


The incident happened around 7.30 am, after which the local police were informed, who later took the injured man to the hospital.


The 45-year-old victim has been identified as Surtaji Lakamaji Prajati.


The main accused, Mohommad Intezar Pathan involved in the crime was arrested along with the firearms.

However, the prima facie reports suggest it could be a case of robbery.

An officer from VP Road police station said, “These courier boys carry money along with them because of which the robbers might have attacked him to snatch the valuable from the employee.”

The victim is out of danger, while the police are trying to locate the others accused.
