Cable operator shot dead by unknown assailants in Thane

A 50-year-old cable operator from Ulhasnagar was allegedly shot dead at his shop by two unidentified persons on Friday. The incident was captured on CCTV

A 50-year-old cable operator from Ulhasnagar in the district was allegedly shot dead by two unidentified persons on Friday, police said.



According to a police spokesperson, the victim Sachyanand Karira was sitting in his shop at around 4 PM when two persons walked in and shot him from a close range. The bullet hit him in the abdomen and he died on his way to the hospital.


The shooting was captured on CCTV.

A case of murder has been registered against unidentified people under section 302 of IPC and a search is on for the duo, police added.
