Actress Sana Khan files complaint against media consultant

The Bollywood starlet filed a complaint against Poonam Khanna, alleging the latter had duped her of Rs 9 lakh; Khanna had registered a molestation case against Khan earlier

Bollywood actress Sana Khan registered a fresh complaint against media consultant, Poonam Khanna, at the Oshiwara police station on late Friday night. Khan claimed that Khanna had promised to give her three rooms in a chawl at Malad and Goregaon and had taken Rs 9 lakh for the same but that she failed to live up to her promise. No arrest has been made in the case so far.

Khan was the main accused in a molestation case registered by Khanna at Amboli police station a week ago. Khan, her boyfriend Ismail and her servant were then arrested by Amboli police and soon released on bail. According to cops, Khan wanted to invest money in property and had met Khanna on August 28, 2014. Khanna advised her to purchase two separate rooms in Gudiyapada area in Malad, which is currently being redeveloped. She also told her that she had a good contact at Omkar developers in Goregaon and would help her get a room worth R3 lakh. Khanna also told Khan that the value for each flat would be R11 lakh once they are redeveloped under the Slum Rehabilitation Authority (SRA) scheme.

Meanwhile, Khan invested R9 lakh and gave all the money to Khanna but she neither got a room nor her money back. When she asked Khanna about her money, the former threatened to leak information about her relationship with her boyfriend to the media.

Senior inspector Subhash Vele of Oshiwara police station said, “We have registered a cheating case against Khanna but we haven’t arrested her. We will investigate and only then take action as the complainant, Khan, was the accused in a previous case. We are seeking the help of the Amboli police to investigate the matter.”

Previous case
Khan and her boyfriend Ismail had assaulted Khanna on October 21 this year. They touched her inappropriately and threatened her over an article which appeared in a newspaper few weeks prior to the incident. Police said the incident occurred in Ismail’s car at Andheri and Khan was asking Khanna to return her money but the latter refused to do so.
